SAP Transportation Management offers a comprehensive solution for planning, implementing and mapping all logistical transport activities. Originally introduced as a decentralized system, SAP TM was included in S/4 HANA as an embedded variant, analogous to SAP EWM.
In the embedded scenario of SAP TM, there are also a number of steps that are necessary for the basic connection of the TM. These include logical models, organizational units and an integration model for setting up the interfaces to other SAP modules.
SAP TM can take over the entire transport planning for a company. It offers the possibility of covering the routes to be driven, including loading space planning, in a fully automated manner using SAP. If the result is not satisfactory, SAP TM offers the option of manual replanning using graphical interfaces, such as an interactive map.
The heart of SAP TM is the Transportation Cockpit. This is an overview from the FIORI launch pad that offers complete real-time transparency of the planned, ongoing and executed tours. It also enables quick intervention and replanning.
We will guide you step by step through the introduction of SAP TM. We will start with a basic system setup for a proof of concept. During this process, we will begin setting up the inbound, outbound and intercompany processes. These will then be explained in more detail in workshops and harmonized with each other. The resources or equipment used, such as trucks, will be defined together with you and created in the system. Based on these settings, we will set up useful interactive tools for planning and monitoring SAP TM in your system.
